MFET 4200 - Manufacturing Processes

Credits: (2)
Typically taught:
Evening classes only.

Manufacturing processes define the methods that companies use in designing, producing, and delivering goods and services required by customers. The manufacturing processes provide the execution component to the other activities of the integrated manufacturing system. Beginning with customer requirements and needs, they design, build, operate, upgrade, and maintain a manufacturing process which is most supportive of and consistent with those needs and requirements. To achieve these objectives, manufacturing processes draw on three different but very interrelated subsystems: industrial facilities management, process design and development, and manufacturing.
