Introduction to the health information profession. Job duties, functions, and the professional organization are discussed. Health care settings, master patient indexes, health information documentation requirements, analysis, and deficiency management are presented. Prerequisite: HTHS 1101  and HTHS 1110  or ZOOL 2100 .
