Explores methods of gathering, analyzing and interpreting data. Topics include: asking questions, observing and measuring communication variables; designing valid and reliable research; research ethics, experimental design and survey research. Emphasis is also placed on how to present research and how to read scholarly journal articles. Pre-requisite(s): COMM 3000 or permission of instructor.
