An overview of the historical roots of early childhood education; theoretical approaches, developmentally appropriate practice, types and efficacy of early childhood programs; and political issues and ethical conduct within the early childhood profession.
3 hours lecture per week and 12 hours field observation.
Pre-requisite(s): CHF 1500, concurrent or prior enrollment in CHF 2500, or instructor consent.
