EDUC 4515 - IEP Planning and Special Education Law Credits: (4) Typically Taught Fall Semester: Full Sem This course provides students with a broad knowledge and understanding of a wide range of legal issues concerning the provision of special education services to students with disabilities. A review of pertinent legislation concerning human and constitutional rights related to persons with disabilities will be addressed. Teachers’ specific responsibilities and liabilities are described and related to current requirements for development of appropriate educational programs. Pre-requisite(s): Completion of Special Education Level 2 courses with a grade of B- or better. Co-Requisite(s): This course is part of Special Education Level 3 courses and should be taken with EDUC 3590 , EDUC 4545 , EDUC 4530 , EDUC 4582 .
