THEA 1033 CA - Introduction to Acting Credits: (3) Typically Taught Summer Semester: Full Sem Typically Taught Fall Semester: Full Sem Typically Taught Spring Semester: Full Sem Course Fee: $6.00 Course Fee Purpose: The course fee associated with this class pays for maintenance of the department lab and associated technology. Description: This is an introductory class where students learn basic acting skills through class participation in improvisation, monologue work, and scene study. Students learn a basic understanding of theories and methodologies. Skills demonstrated in areas of body movement, diction, observation, imagination and “action”. (For non-theatre majors). Note: Note: Theatre majors are strongly encouraged to enroll in the “majors only section” offered spring semester and concurrently enroll in THEA 1713 .
