CJ 3700 - Women & Criminal Justice Credits: (3) Typically Taught Fall Semester: Full Sem Typically Taught Spring Semester: Full Sem Description: Course explores women within the American criminal justice system, focusing on females as the victim and perpetrator of crime as well as the various positions that they hold within the criminal justice profession (i.e. law enforcement, courts, corrections). Additional attention will be paid to the social construction of gender and how it can shape the creation and application of social control within society.
