NRSG 6270 - Mental Health for Primary Care Credits: (3) Typically Taught Summer Semester: Full Sem Typically Taught Fall Semester: Full Sem Typically Taught Spring Semester: Full Sem Description: In this course, students explore the role of the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) as they address common mental health conditions in the context of whole-person care throughout the lifespan. Student learning includes evidenced-based assessment, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and referral/interprofessional collaboration for common mental health conditions encountered in the primary care setting, including vulnerable population considerations. Pre-requisite(s): Acceptance into DNP-FNP program.
