Because plants are major players in carbon cycles, wildfire behavior, medicine, and food systems, understanding and managing plant communities is key to maintaining thriving human societies. We can learn from plant biology and use plants in strategic ways to solve the problems that our society faces and take care of ourselves in the face of turmoil.
