Course Fee Purpose: This course has a fee attached. Examples of course fee expenditures for this course include equipment such as avalanche beacons, avalanche probes, collapsible shovels, avalanche airbags, ski helmets, first aid supplies, spare batteries, and ski wax.
Description: This course is intended for individuals wishing to expand their understanding of avalanche problem types and group risk management systems for travel in avalanche terrain, whether backcountry skiing and snowboarding, snowshoeing, or mountaineering.
Suggested Requisite(s): REC 1307 and REC 1308.
