MIS 3610 - Networks & Data Communications I Credits: (3) Typically Taught Fall Semester: Full Sem Typically Taught Spring Semester: Full Sem Course Fee: $30.00 Course Fee Purpose: The course fees collected from students enrolled in this class are used for student-related expenditures. Examples of such expenditures are for periodic technology upgrades in the MIS Lab, software licenses, and program assessment materials. Description: This course provides an introduction to the design, operation, and management of telecommunication systems. It covers computer network definitions, concepts and principles, including (but not limited to): server management; topologies; protocols; standards; and fundamental concepts related to data communication networks. Pre-requisite(s): MIS 2020 or MIS 2410 .
