Course fees are established in order to benefit the students in this course and may, among other things, be used to cover the costs of equipment replacement and maintenance, consumable materials, licensure examinations, or to meet specific regulatory requirements. The course fee expenditure for this specific course covers the use of the InBody 770 scanner to determine basal metabolic rate. Description: The relationships between dietary components and the development of chronic diseases provides the foundation for designing diets that support life-long “good health”. Topics in nutrigenomics, food allergy and food technology are introduced. Pre-requisite(s): NUTR 1020 or HLTH 1020 . This course is taught Web enhanced.
