HTHS 1130 - Common Medicines Credits: (3) Description: This is an introductory course that will provide information regarding proper drug usage for those without significant backgrounds in the Biological Sciences. The course primarily discusses over-the-counter medicines as well as prescription drug groups that are commonly used by the public. The overall objective of this course will be to provide information in such a way that individuals are able to make wise and appropriate choices, are more aware of possible drug-related problems, and will become well-informed consumers. May be repeated twice with a maximum of 6 credit hours. Note: This course is offered as needed.
