PS 3702 - Team Leadership Credits: (2) Typically Taught Summer Semester: Full Sem; Full Sem Online Typically Taught Fall Semester: Full Sem Typically Taught Spring Semester: Full Sem Description: This skills-based course develops the interpersonal and leadership competencies necessary to work effectively within teams and guide them successfully through the stages of group development. The curriculum provides a practical toolkit focused on core principles including Personal Motivation, Interpersonal Relationships, and the Stages of Team Development, while equipping students with strategies to manage Conflict, navigate Cognitive Dissonance, and master Professional Communication and Listening: a skillset better than a universal blueprint for navigating any professional challenge. Through a blend of theory and application, students will learn to diagnose team dynamics, motivate individuals, and resolve disagreements, preparing them to assume the role of an effective and impactful team leader in any professional setting.
