Description: History 1000 is designed to introduce students to different subfields within history; to familiarize them with the standard modes of researching, interpreting, analyzing, and citing historical sources; and to teach them how to build an historical argument. It emphasizes the importance of information literacy, helping students to successfully identify, access, evaluate and use information resources to support their ongoing research in history.
