ENGL 2215 - Introduction to Film Theory and Criticism Credits: (3) Typically Taught Fall Semester: Full Sem Typically Taught Spring Semester: Full Sem - Online Description: This course introduces students to the theory and practice of critically analyzing film. We will survey the international development of film from its origins to the present. Our focus will be on the history and methods of narrative film, including the development of film and digital technology, and on the modern viewer’s expected skill in “reading” film.
