ECE 6160 - Power Electronics Credits: (4) Typically Taught Spring Semester: Full Sem Course Fee: $35.00 Course Fee Purpose: The fees associated with this course are used to provide electronic components and wire for students to build their circuits. Remaining funds, if any, are used to maintain the electronic equipment in the laboratory. Description: Introduction to modern power conversion techniques and devices at a circuit level covering basic topologies of power converters and techniques of analyzing converter circuits. Students learn to analyze and design suitable circuits and subsystems for practical applications for AC/DC, DC/DC and DC/AC converters.
