Management Information Systems (AS)

- Program Prerequisite: Most business and economics courses with numbers above 3000 require completion of ENGL 2010 or ENGL 2015 , MATH 1050 , or MATH 1090 or equivalent, ACTG 2010 , ACTG 2020 ,BSAD 2620 , ECON 2010 , ECON 2020 , MIS 2010 , QUAN 2600 , and BSAD 2899 . These eight courses are referred to collectively as “Liberal Support” and “Business Foundations.” All MIS courses numbered above 3000 require Business Foundations except MIS 3210 and MIS 3610 . (Refer to the John B. Goddard School of Business & Economics Requirements .)
- Grade Requirements: Candidates for the associate of science degree must complete all prerequisite and required business and economics courses with a grade of “C” or higher. In addition, the cumulative John B. Goddard School of Business & Economics (major) GPA must be 2.5 or higher. The WSU grade point average must meet university requirements.
- Credit Hour Requirements: A total of 60 credit hours is required; a minimum of 25 of these is required within the AS program.

Admission Requirements
Students are admitted to the John B. Goddard School of Business & Economics upon declaring a degree of study within the school. To ensure progress towards the degree, students intending to pursue a Bachelor of Science, Associate of Science, or minors in Accounting, Economics or Finance must successfully complete BSAD 2899 or ECON 2899 . General Education
Refer to Degree Requirements for Associate of Science requirements. The following courses required for the Management Information Systems associates will also satisfy general education requirements: ENGL 2010 or ENGL 2015 (Composition); MATH 1050 or MATH 1090 (Quantitative Literacy); ECON 2010 or ECON 2020 (Social Science); ECON 1740 is recommended to fulfill the Senate Bill Requirement in American Institutions. MIS 1100 SS - The Digital Society , is recommended to fulfill a general education requirement in Social Science.
