Art (BA)

• Program Prerequisite: Not required.
• Minor: General Art students must declare a minor.
• Grade Requirements: A grade of “C” or better in courses required for all majors and minors (a grade of “C-” is not acceptable). Also refer to the general grade requirements for graduation .
• Credit Hour Requirements: A total of 120 credit hours are required for graduation. Of this total, 27 credit hours will be completed in General Education and a minimum of 48 credit hours in Visual Arts are required, depending on the credit hours of a student’s chosen minor. Note that a total of 40 upper division credit hours are required by the university for graduation (courses numbered 3000 and above from any department).

Admission Requirements

General Education

Refer to Degree Requirements  for Bachelor of Arts requirements. 27 credit hours will be completed in General Education. The following foundation/elective cousres in DOVAD will fulfill general education requirements: ARTH 1090 , ARTH 1100 , and ART 2450 .
