Track D: Geospatial Technology (18 credit hours)

Completion of this track may also meet the requirements for the Geospatial Technology Certificate of Proficiency , Geospatial Analysis Certificate of Proficiency , or Geospatial Studies Minor .

Students pursuing the Geography (BS) , Geospatial Analysis Certificate of Proficiency , or Geospatial Studies Minor must complete upper division course optons. Students pursuing the Geospatial Technology Certificate of Proficiency may take the lower division courses.

Required Courses (11 credit hours)

GEO 1710 - Introduction to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Credits: (4) or
GEO 3710 - Introduction to Geographic Information Systems Credits: (4)
GEOG 2400 - Cartography and Map Design Credits: (3) or
GEOG 4400 - Cartography and Map Design Credits: (3)
GEO 2200 - Geospatial Data Acquisition Credits: (4) or
GEO 4200 - Geospatial Data Acquisition Credits: (4)

Technique Courses (3-7 credit hours)

Select at least one of the following:

Electives (4-8 credit hours)

Either the Geospatial Internship or Capstone is required for a Geospatial Certificate.
