Graduate Retention Requirements
-
Retention in the graduate MHA program will be based on the following criteria:
-
Grade “C” or better in all required MHA courses.
-
Maintain an overall Weber State University Graduate GPA of 3.0.
- Adhere to MHA Student Handbook Policies.
- Students who fail to meet the retention criteria will be placed on probation in the MHA program for one semester. Students who receive a grade lower than a “C” in any required MHA course must repeat that course and receive a grade of “C” or higher to remain in the program.
- Students who choose to discontinue the MHA program or are dismissed from the program within the first year will be directed to the Health Administration (BS) program director for academic advisement. A plan for completing their bachelor’s degree will be developed. The MHA program director and the Office of Graduate Studies will determine whether any credit sharing will be applied based on the MHA courses the student completed before discontinuance/dismissal.
- Students who complete the first year of the MHA program but choose to discontinue the program afterward will still receive their Bachelor of Science degree in Health Administration.
