The WSU Davis campus provides a wide range of higher educational opportunities to the residents of Davis County and surrounding areas. With a population of over 350,000 residents, Davis County is Utah’s third largest county. It is also home to Hill Air Force Base, Utah’s largest employer. Davis County residents comprise more than 40 percent of the student body at Weber State University. In addition to providing learning opportunities close to where these students live and work, WSU Davis is an integral part of the larger community, enriching the social, cultural and economic lives of the citizens of Davis County.

From its campus in Layton, WSU Davis offers a full range of general education courses and a wide range of associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees. Students may take classes at both WSU Davis and the Ogden campus concurrently, depending upon their needs and schedule. One of the hallmarks of the Davis campus is the special attention given to meeting the needs of military, veteran, nontraditional, and working students.

WSU Davis provides a complete university experience for students, using both visiting and resident faculty to provide instruction and advisement. Extensive student services and support activities are also available, including computer classrooms, a computer laptop lounge with PC’s and printing support, a computer lab including Macs and PC’s with printers and scanners, a library, a bookstore, a testing center, enrollment services, academic advisement, academic support, financial aid, tutoring, student activities, counseling services, a fitness center, a stress-relief center, event spaces, and a wide range of other student services.

WSU Davis is also home to the Northern Utah Academy for Math, Engineering and Science (NUAMES), an early college charter high school that works in partnership with Weber State University.

The Military-Affiliated Student Center is the liaison between Weber State University and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for educational benefits for veterans and dependents who are eligible for the G.I. Bill. In addition, the office assists veterans and their dependents in identifying sources of support for their educational needs and provide a variety of support services to assist in making education a successful experience for veterans.

The Veterans Study Lounge provides a quiet, dedicated space for veterans to study, print for free, get a snack, and get tutoring and academic support.

Weber Cares Pantry

The Weber Cares Program, part of the Student Support & Resource Center, aims to combat food insecurity and support academic success by offering food at no cost through the Weber Cares Pantry. No appointment is required to visit our pantry; walk-ins are welcome. Just check in at the Davis Student Services front desk. Pantry packs are also available.

Student Support Services and SSS-STEM aids full-time, first-generation, low-income STEM students. Enjoy up to five hours of free weekly tutoring per class, access scholarships and grant aid, quiet and group study spaces, plus advising and success workshops.

  • Administers tests for WSU students through Canvas as well as paper exams.
  • The Davis Testing Center provides testing for the English and Math placement tests (Accuplacer and ALEKS). This center also administers College Credit Exam tests CLEP, DSST, and BYU FLATS. The National Police Officer Test (NPOST) and exams for other institutions are offered at this location as well.

Northern Utah Academy for Math, Engineering, and Sciences (NUAMES)

NUAMES is an early college high school that offers students the opportunity for a rigorous and supportive early college experience on a university campus. NUAMES focuses on STEM education: science, technology, engineering and math.
