ECED 4230 - Observing and Assessing Children in Context Credits: (3) Typically Taught Spring Semester: Full Sem Description: This course provides students with knowledge and skills to use observation, documentation, and assessment tools to inform instruction, planning, and intervention programs for young children birth through eight years. Special attention is given to contextualized assessment practices that are responsive to children’s strengths, needs, cultures, races, languages, and family experiences. Suggested Requisite(s): Prerequisite ECED 2500 , ECED 2610 , ECED 2620 ; Corequisite ECED 4710 , ECED 4720 .
