Description: Principles of forces, moments, resultants & static equilibrium of force systems, center of gravity, friction, and free body diagram analysis. Also concept of stress and strain, shear, bending moments, torsion, bending stresses in beams and stress resolution and shear.
Five lectures per week.
Pre-requisite(s): PHYS 2010 /L or PHYS 2210 /L; MATH 1060  or MATH 1080  or MATH 1210 .
