PAR 1001 - Emergency Medical Technician Lab Credits: (2) Typically Taught Summer Semester: 1st Blk Typically Taught Fall Semester: Full Sem Typically Taught Spring Semester: Full Sem, 2nd Blk Description: At the completion of this course the student will be able to demonstrate competency managing emergencies, utilizing all Basic Support equipment and skills in accordance with all behavioral objectives in the current National EMS Education Standards. In addition to the lab, this course requires that the student have patient interactions in a clinical setting. Based on assessment finding, renders emergency medical care to the adult, infant and child, medical, and trauma patients. Successful evaluation of professionalism, interpersonal relationships, skills, and knowledge must be completed for recommendation of certification. (Must be taken with PAR 1000 ).
