Course Fee Purpose: Course fees are established to benefit the students in this course and may, among other things, be used to cover the costs of equipment replacement and maintenance, consumable materials, licensure examinations, or to meet specific regulatory requirements. The course fee expenditure for this specific course covers fees for high-voltage electric vehicle safety equipment.
Description: This course will introduce students to hybrid and electric vehicles, proper safety tools and procedures, and basic high voltage components.  Basic electrical theory will be explained and showcased in this course.  Diagnostic theory and operation will be covered as well as service disconnect procedures and component validation testing.

Upon completion of this course, student can sit in on “xEV Electrical Safety Awareness Certification - Level 1 Standard” certification provided by ASE
