Course Fee Purpose: Course fees for this course are designed to cover computer labs, paper usage, software, equipment maintenance and replacement, supplies and instructional resources.
Description: This course will introduce the application of engineering efforts to maximize the likelihood that the resulting system design will be operationally feasible and perform as intended in an effective and efficient manner. The objective of the course is to study the characteristics (the ‘ilities’) that are known to have a significant impact on the success of a system and the customer’s need. Topics include Design for reliability, maintainability, human factors, logistics, producibility, and affordability.  Software used will include MATLAB, Excel, and CAMEO No Magic.
Pre-requisite(s): SE 6130  and SE 6380
