Course fees are established to benefit the students in this course and may be used to cover the costs of the NIAAA course materials and for LTC credits. The total cost of course fees will be $210. Description: This advanced course introduces the fundamentals of athletic administration, covering key areas such as leadership, personnel management, scheduling, contest management, and financial responsibilities. It addresses critical topics like eligibility, legal issues, liability, and crisis planning. Students will explore program culture, leadership styles, and the role of national and state organizations (NIAAA, NFHS), as well as professional development opportunities. Additional focus areas include public relations, sportsmanship, fundraising, and strategic planning in athletic programs. Upon completion, students will be eligible for the “Registered Athletic Administrator” certification through the NIAAA.
