Description: This course provides an in-depth exploration of occupational therapy (OT) principles and practices tailored specifically for geriatric populations. Students will learn about the typical aging process, as well as common conditions and skill deficits associated with older adults. This course will explore physical, cognitive and psychosocial dysfunction as it relates to the aging population and the role that occupational therapy plays in disease and dysfunction prevention, health promotion, and rehabilitation.
