SPAN 3050 - Spanish for Heritage Speakers Credits: (3) Typically Taught Summer Semester: 1st Blk Typically Taught Fall Semester: Full Sem Typically Taught Spring Semester: Full Sem Course Fee: $8.00 Course Fee Purpose: Course fees contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of technology in the active learning classroom (EH 408), the World Languages and Cultures (WLC) tutoring space, and other regular classrooms, ensuring a high-quality learning environment for students. Description: (IL=Intermediate Low). This is a course for students who are heritage language learners of Spanish (grew up speaking Spanish in the home, but received most of their education in English). Students will read examples of writing in various modes (such as description, narration, exposition, and argument), write short compositions in those modes. This course builds on students’ existing language foundation to enhance both their written and oral skills.
