Religious Studies Minor

The Religious Studies minor guides students in developing interdisciplinary skills to understand diverse religious traditions, interrogate personal and communal religious experience, and explain the intersections of religion with other fields of study and interest.
- Grade Requirements: A grade of “C” or better is required for all courses used toward the minor (a grade of “C-” is not acceptable) in addition to a GPA for these courses of 2.50 or higher.
- Credit Hour Requirements: A minimum of 18 credit hours.
Courses taken as part of a student’s major will not count as fulfillment of the minor requirements.

Core Course (3 credit hours)
Elective Courses (15 credit hours)
Students must take 15 additional hours with at least 9 hours coming from three different disciplines. No more than 3 hours (excluding the core requirement) may be lower division.
Note
Other experimental or variable title courses, whose content relates to the minor, may be approved by the program director to fulfill elective course requirements.
