Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety (BIS)

  • Grade Requirements: C or better is required in the BIS-emphasis courses. Elected credit/no credit courses may not be counted toward BIS-emphasis hours

The Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety (OEHS) emphasis is the first part of a two part BIS to prepare the students for a professional career in Occupational Health and Safety. The emphasis will provide the student with basics in occupational safety and health, workplace hazard recognition, ergonomics and human factors, workplace health exposures, risk assessment, and management of OEHS programs.
