HIST 1000 - Introduction to the Craft of History

History 1000 is a one-credit course for newly declared history majors. It is designed to introduce students to different subfields within history; to familiarize them with the standard modes of researching, interpreting, analyzing, and citing historical sources; and to teach them how to build an historical argument.
Should be taken upon registration as a history major or history teaching major.
