This physical activity course introduces students to the basic skills required for mountaineering, including snow climbing and descending, ice climbing, ice axe use, basic avalanche hazard identification, and technical rope systems in these environments. Course offering dependent on weather and snow pack expectations and conditions.
May be repeated twice and up to 3 credits.
