ENGL 1005 EN1 - College Reading and Introductory Writing Credits: (6) Typically Taught Summer Semester: Full Sem Typically Taught Fall Semester: Full Sem Typically Taught Spring Semester: Full Sem English 1005 introduces students to the habits and practices necessary for reading and writing at the college level. Students will focus on the writing process, writing for specific audiences, collaboration with peers, grammatical and mechanical correctness, improving reading comprehension, and the interrelationship between reading and writing. Students who have placed into ENGL 0955 (Level 2) may choose to take this accelerated course, which will satisfy the requirements for ENGL 0955 and ENGL 1010 . Students must complete ENGL 1010 satisfactorily (a grade of “C” or better) before enrolling in ENGL 2010 or ENGL 2015 . Pre-requisite(s): Level 2 placement or ENGL 0900 with a grade of C or better.
