Description: A history of the development and impact of Christianity within Europe through the twentieth century. This course will examine how Christianity affected European society, culture, politics, and science; and how these affected the institutions within Christianity. Particular emphasis will be placed on the early growth of Christianity, medieval changes, the Reformation, and spirituality in the industrial age.
