ART 3525 - Practicum: WSU ArtsBridge Service-Learning Credits: (1-6) Typically Taught Fall Semester: Full Sem Typically Taught Spring Semester: Full Sem Description: This service-learning course provides the fine arts teacher candidate with academic credit for designing and teaching an integrated arts course in a grade K-12 classroom or equivalent community education program. The candidate will work closely with a University faculty mentor, host school teacher and ArtsBridge director in implementing and assessing integrated arts curricula and producing a final project by K-12 classroom students. Course components include: curricula pre-planning and implementation, in-class teaching, student assessment, candidate self-assessment and ArtsBridge seminar components. By permission only. Fine arts education content area supervisor and successful interview with faculty mentor and/or ArtsBridge director. Content methodology course(s) complete or in progress. May be repeated once with a maximum of 12 credit hours.
