DANC 3015 - Dance History Credits: (3) Typically Taught Fall Semester: Full Sem Description: Study of the history and philosophy of dance from lineage-based societies through the early decades of modern dance, ballet, vernacular forms and dance as public art. Areas covered will include pre-Christian civilizations, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and the Golden Age of Ballet, the Age of Innovation in Ballet through the Contemporary Period of history. Pre-requisite(s): DANC 1010 .
