SBS 1550 HU/CC - Introduction to World Religions Credits: (3) Typically Taught Fall Semester: Full Sem Description: Introduction to religious studies with a focus on religious literacy; methodologies and theories of religion; and the histories, philosophies, beliefs and practices, and internal diversity of major world religions including Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Indigenous traditions. The course also explores the intersections between religion and politics, magic, gender and sexuality, and art.
