Description: This graduate-level course is designed to provide Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) with advanced knowledge and skills in the assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment of substance abuse and addiction disorders. The course will explore the complex interplay of biological, psychological, and social factors contributing to addiction and will emphasize a holistic and patient-centered approach to therapy and management.
