CS 5400 - Data Engineering Credits: (3) Typically Taught Spring Semester: Full Sem Description: This course provides a deep dive into modern data engineering, bridging foundational principles with hands-on implementation. Students will explore the core architectural patterns and software engineering discipline required to build robust, scalable data systems. The curriculum focuses on gaining practical mastery of the modern data stack, equipping students to design, build, and manage the end-to-end data pipelines that power today’s data-driven organizations. Pre-requisite(s): CS 2420 or CS 5580 . Suggested Requisite(s): CS 3030 and CS 3550 .
