Honors classes are not harder, just better! We hear this from students in the program all the time. The professors who teach in Honors come from every department and discipline on campus, but they design custom courses for Honors. All of our classes are small, discussion-based, and interdisciplinary. When you take an Honors class, you join faculty and students who think critically and creatively about big ideas and consequential issues. Your learning will be deep and expansive.

Beyond the classroom experience, the Honors Center offers a space to relax and recharge. You’ll find that the staff know you and care genuinely about your success.

We don’t have restrictions on who can join Honors. If you want to learn, you belong. If you want to be challenged intellectually and inspired, you belong. If you want a meaningful college experience, this program is for you

Mission Statement

The WSU Honors Program is a home to all for intellectually curious and academically adventurous inquisitive students, faculty, and staff. Honors Provides supportive, high-quality interdisciplinary experiences for intellectual and affective development, for academic and cultural expansion. We build habits of learning that support and sustain lifelong engagements with complex questions, issues, and ideas.
